Connection

Players can't connect or the server is not in the list

The server is running, but players cannot reach it. Usually closed ports or a firewall.

The error
Failed to connect: server didn't respond

Why it happens

  • Port 30120 is closed for TCP or UDP. FiveM needs both.
  • Windows Firewall, the VPS provider firewall or your router blocks the port.
  • sv_master1 "" is set, which hides the server from the list.
  • The endpoints listen on the wrong address.

How to fix it

  1. Use the default endpoints in server.cfg:
Config
endpoint_add_tcp "0.0.0.0:30120"
endpoint_add_udp "0.0.0.0:30120"
  1. Open 30120 for both TCP and UDP in Windows Firewall, in your VPS panel and, on a home connection, in your router.
  2. Remove any sv_master1 "" line if you want to appear in the server list.
  3. Test with connect your.ip:30120 in the F8 console. If that works but the list does not, wait a few minutes for the list to refresh.
